As a VIS contractor, you're empowered to work independently while serving high-profile clients with professionalism and excellence. We provide the platform, the clients, and the opportunity โ€” you bring the expertise.


As an Independent Contractor, you will:

  • Be your own boss and manage your own workload
  • Choose when and to whom you provide support services
  • Set your own schedule around your availability
  • Provide services from a distraction-free home office
  • Handle customer calls, assess needs, and solve problems
  • Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) support to customers

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written English and Spanish skills
  • At least 1 year of phone-based customer support experience
  • Computer skills including navigating multiple systems and documenting call notes
  • Ability to sit for long periods and maintain focus
  • Patience, empathy, and a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to provide services independently pursuant to your contract

Computer Requirements

  • Some clients may require additional security measures and equipment
  • Wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi for active calls)
  • Android or Apple smartphone for two-factor authentication

Compensation

  • Submit invoices and receive payment for completed services pursuant to your contract
  • Pay structures vary by client program โ€” most pay for productive time and may include performance bonuses
  • Independent Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and business expenses

Application & Certification Process

To become a VIS Independent Contractor, the following are required:

Submit Your Application

Complete the online application form and pass a background check.

Sign Your IC Agreement

Review and sign the Independent Contractor Agreement with VIS.

Complete W9 & Direct Deposit

Submit your W9 tax form and set up your payment method.

Complete Program Certifications

Finish any client-specific training and certifications required for your program.

The background check requires a non-refundable $35 processing fee paid directly to the background check vendor.
